Kavad I, first reign, but what's the date?

I have this attractive Kavad I drachm, with a very black patina. The mint is clear, KA = Karzi, but I'm unable to read the date. Göbl plate 183. 28 mm, 4,02 gr. Can any of you read it? I made another picture with the text horizontal as a reading help.

Are you sure it's a date ? For it looks very similar to the inscription on the obverse in front of the head. That's the name of the ruler. I believe in the early years of Kavad's reign the name was also on the reverse. Only in his second reign period the year numbers were introduced again on the reverse.

I think you are right. The inscriptions look identical. In Göbl's Sassanian Coins the Pehlevi text is notated a bit differently, but I think it must be the king's name, Kavad. Thanks!
