Imran,

You can check standard catalog of world papermoney and banknotes by Krause (also known as Pick Catalog). The prices given in Krause are not always correct, but you will at-least get an idea.

The best catalog for Indian banknotes is Catalog of Indian Paper Money by Kishore Jhunjhunwala.

British India banknotes signed by J.B.Taylor are quite rare I guess,so you can expect them to fetch some fancy amount ;) But some of the notes you have posted are not in a good condition,so those may not be so expensive.

Try the auction website of Toddywala or Oswal. They have the sale prices mentioned. However the condition of the note also matters a lot when determining the price.

You can buy Krause catalog through their website (www.krausebooks.com) You can find the the catalog by Kishore Jhunjhunwala on e-bay India. It hasn't been reprinted since long,so getting a copy from dealers is bit difficult..

Don't know how it would be in other countries, but here, you would be able to find these catalogues in a public library.

Googling the notes and looking at eBay and other auctions would give you clues, but indeed, grade is very important.

There was an auction of Indian banknotes from the colonial era last year in the USA, very nice stuff also - 1000 rupees notes etc.  There were over 200 lots in the auction, at Lynknight.com.
