Yesterday I got nine pieces of Indonesian plantation tokens as an offer to buy. :D
But I'm not so sure if I will do. :-\ My first feeling by looking at them wasn't the best ... :(
I believe them being fakes. >:(

It's not so often I'm hoping for a strong contradiction. ;D

Here is the first one, which is not listed at Lansen/Wells:

Figleaf

Looks good to me, but I am certainly no expert. Did the seller mention the diameter? I would expect something around 35 mm.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Laying in front of me. :D  There are some people in this world who trust me. ;D

35.5 mm
11.55 g

Seems real to me. Will I ask confirmation from ad Lansen?
It's not in the book but there are real 1 dollar tokens. If it is real it's a RRR coin

Afrasi

To me the letters seem to be too thick. I believe it being a fake, too.

I will ask Ad Lansen to be sure. I possible, just keep this token for a few more days.

This 20 cents token is a real one...

A few moments ago I did got a confirmation about this token from Ad Lansen.
It's a forgery as well, the size of the letters is not correct and the & sign is also not correct...

Afrasi

I had not much hope to hear another confirmation ...

Thanks for your research and to Mr. Lansen!

Dear friends,

If both these tokens are fake, where could one find a picture of a real one?

The one dollar tokens is a falsification, the 20 cents token is a real token.
You can find a lot of pictures of real and false plantation tokens at:
