Akbar, 1/2 Rupee, Ilahi 36, Tir, KM#63.1.
« on: November 16, 2010, 09:45:48 AM »
This half rupee of Akbar seems to be the mintless type - probably issued at one of the camp mints (Urdu) in the Ilahi Year 36. Based on an older edition of KM - the coins of South Asia, I have been able to identify it as a KM#63.1 or a type 63 coin. Hlease help confirm. Is it a month (Tir) I see at the bottom of the reverse?

The attribution is correct (KM#63.1), Ilahi yr. 36, month: Tir. See for more examples of this type here.
