I now have a copy of this book. Interesting in some parts.

It has been said that it is possible to have too many books, but I have certainly not reached that stage.  There are a few much-praised biographies of the man, some translated from Persian, if you should become interested in him and his long and bloody career.  You will find mention of his piety and of his many manual copies of the Koran, which he sold to pay for his own personal subsistence, and I had the privilege of seeing a couple of them at the APRI in Tonk.  A great place to see very good Persian and Arabic calligraphy being taught and practised.  Well worth a vist if you are interested in such things.

Ultimately, our coins are only comprehensible against the background of their historical context.
