Yes, it is a wonderful coin doctor.  Alas, I do not have Valentine.  Can you please tell me what Valentine said about this coin?

Dadar?  Was it minted in Mumbai?
What is the coins size and weight?

Richie,
Did you seriously think that a coin of Awadh could have been minted in one of the suburbs of Mumbai?  :P

I tried finding the coin in Awadh state and could not.  What is the attribution?

The mint place could not be Dadar near Mumbai, but should be a north Indian town.
Valentine already made a note that it probably is Dadri near Rohtak.
All Machhli-type copper coins are of north Indian origin and located along the Yamuna and Ganges river basin. The Dadar or Dadri coin is extremely rare, but contemporary coins of almost similar fabric are known from Muminabad (Bindraban) and Bhawannagar. The location of the last town is also not known. The only place I could find is Thana Bhawan (N29°35'-77°25'E).

As usual, your information Oesho, is very illuminating.  Thank you so much.
I can see how the letters visible at the top of the reverse could be "Dadar" or part of "Dadri".
This seems one of the few times (the only time?) that we have had a coin on which the mint can be read but when we still do not know the issuing "princely state".

Please, anyone, let me know if you are satisfied with the new subject title.
And doctor, I would say that you have a very special coin.
