Very interesting information from the Royal Mint. Let's now wait and see which Commonwealth realms or other members choose to use it.

The next issuer to introduce a portrait of King Charles III on the obverse of one of its coins will likely be Niue. No obverse image of the coins is available yet. The pieces will be released at the end of this month. It will already be the fourteenth issuer to introduce the portrait of King Charles III on its coins.

Update: Issuance of said coins has been posponed until a yet to be determined date.

First use of the Dan Thorne portrait on a coin of the Cook Islands. Also finally we have high quality images of the portrait on a large size coin, clearly made by a professional mint. Thanks to Big_M for bringing this coin to my attention.

First use of a portrait of king Charles III on the obverse of a coin of Niue. Remarkably it is the Commonwealth Mint portrait by Jody Clark.

The first monarch to be presented on a coin wearing sunglasses?

Right, the king portrayed as the young Audrey Hepburn ... 8) Not that I collect such pseudo-coins, but that design (well, the issue specific side) will certainly be attractive for some.

It appears that Commonwealth Mint possibly sold a license for the use of the Jody Clark portrait to Germany-based Le Grand Mint. So far 2 pieces of Niue were issued depicting the new portrait, both developed by Le Grand Mint. It is unclear whether the company is a real mint, or only develops the coins. However, it appears that the company doesn't do any production in-house. In a promotional video of the company that shows production of some of their products, there are details that seem to indicate that the actual production is being done by a company in Poland.

Apparently the coin above is a 1 dollar coin.

Remember to state the denomination when it is not shown on the image.

The denomination is on the coin, to the right of the portrait of King Charles III. Just not that clearly visible due to the shadows.

The Falkland Islands are the the first country to introduce the portrait of king Charles III on its standard circulation coins. Pobjoy Mint released a coin set, that is now sold out. The series included the 5p upto 1 pound. Remarkably, no 2 pounds coin was included.

Worth noting that, although the 10p, 20p and 50p Falkland coins use the original designs, the date has been removed, as it's on the obverse.  "Falkland Islands" is also on the obverse, but remains on the reverse.  Unusually for standard-design coins, the denomination appears in words on the obverse (apart from the £1, which also omits the word "King") creating an over-crowded obverse wording circle.

The 5p is unchanged from the 2019 version, apart from the figure being moved slightly further away from the bird.  I think this has partially been achieved by very slightly rotating the bird, so that one wing may be very slightly closer to the "I" and similarly its other wing closer to the "F", though the figure has also been moved lower.
