Half Rupee of Shah Jahan, Surat. KM#213.2
« on: December 28, 2009, 03:28:56 PM »
Is this a Half rupee of Surat (5.7g) of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, KM#213.2? I am unable to read any date on the coin.

The mint, no doubt, is Surat, but the AH-date and Ry is off the flan.

Oesho,
Thank you. Is my understanding that these coins were issued only in the early part of Shah Jahans' reign, correct?
