The Banque Centrale de Luxembourg is going one step further in 2021 than it did in 2020 on variants.

The BU set of coins with a bridge and mercury on them, of which there are only 5000, has 2500 with a photo version of one of the commemorative coins and 2500 with the other, so to get all variants you have to get both sets!

Having obtained them, there is nothing to distinguish them from the outside, except possibly that the number stamped on the back is 1-2500 if it is Jean and 2501-5000 if it is the wedding anniversary.

It gets worse - the proof set for 2021 has the two commemorative coins with the bridge and lion mintmarks in relief format, and the 2019-2021 multi-year proof set has the two 2021 commemorative coins with the bridge and lion mintmarks in photo format.  That means there are six versions of each coin, outdoing Germany!

Just spotted that the 40th wedding anniversary relief coin has the bridge on the right and the photo coin has the bridge on the left!  The other commemorative has them both on the left. The 20c coin also has the bridge on the right, whereas all the other standard coins have it on the left, as with the last few years.
