This looks like a Hobo nickel, a face carved into a minted object which may be a coin. I don't have the knowledge to easily identify the coin or imitation from the remaining side.

I'd say the portrait is based on that of Edward VII of England.

From the reverse I'd say that it is related to the Islamic 'ramatankas/temple tokens', but I've never seen one with a portrait on (frowned on in Islam). The 'Edward VII' portrait at least dates it as post 1902.
