Matthew Boulton produced many patterns, including this one for a guinea struck in gilt copper.


Delicious, Tony. Remarkably logical design, yet more appropriate for gold or silver. Personally, I would have liked to see this style used for a big silver coin. Funny to see how all the Latin titles ended up as an unreadable alphabet soup.
