I just posted a coin from a lot of Celtics that I bought in 2014. Here's another coin from the same lot, a billon one, larger and a bit vague. 18.5 mm, 3.79 gr. I believe I can see a typical Celtic head on the obverse, and on the reverse is a clear exergue.

Where does it come from?

Britain, Durotriges stater. The reverse is a very stylised horse. These start off quite good silver but there is a whole range of billons down to Ae.

Excellent id. Here's one that's less vague and mysterious ;)

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Thanks very much, both of you! It certainly has a very vague obverse head. The metal is grey and porous, but not too bad silver I think.
And so, that's a horse on the reverse. Thanks to the exergue, I knew how to hold the coin, but now one recognizes the legs.
