Broad flan Rupee from Laskhnau mint, RY 36, 3 of AH year 1103 visible. Decorative border ribbon type edge on one side.

The second side die is like almost in the center.

Most excellent coin, jaspersaini. Strikingly, there are charming signs of wear on this broad flan rupee. I wonder if that means the coin circulated - its weight is correct - or that it was often cleaned. It must have been recognised as a special issue.

Not that it matters, but the /.\./.\ pattern, here on the rim, can be found inside the security edges of modern Indian coins also.
