Please help with identifying this Azamnagar type rupee
« on: December 20, 2019, 03:32:38 PM »
Hi,

This coin was attributed as a rupee coin in the name of Muhammad Shah, Azamnagar Hukeri mint

In KM# this is listed as KM#201 under Maratha Confederacy. But the image of the coin there is not very clear.
India-Independent Kingdoms MARATHA CONFEDERACY Rupee KM 201 Prices & V

Is the attribution correct? So far I haven't able to find anything in my web search.
So it will be very helpful if someone can confirm the attribution and if possible provide some reference.

Thanks in advance

I am not very knowledgeable, but I think it may well be correct. Please check Zeno #178104 for an example where the flan hit different parts of the dies but the visible portions appear to match your coin.
