It's again an issue of Akbar, as you now. The year seems to be AH (9)7(1). The mint may probably be Alwar. Some careful cleaning at the top portion of the obverse may help.

Thanks for the lead. Will try cleaning the coin with an oil bath and a wooden toothpick as Peter had suggested earlier but will take some time.
Regarding the date, is it not 970? The vertical line of the 9 is clearly seen and is followed by a seven. After that I see a dot and not a line to indicat 1. Please correct if you thing I am wrong.

The weight of this one is 10.4 g. So that would be a Half Dam. Am I correct?
