Half Dam of Akbar AH 973, Mint Narnol Ref: KM#22.16

Please help identify this one. I picked up a few similar coins from the Kolkatta coin fair. In the rush I missed seeing that they were almost all alike. The date 973 is clearly visible.

Overlord,
Thanks for the quick responce. Since the weight is 10.4 g, I presume that this is a Half Dam.

Oesho,
Thank you very much for the reference. however, I find that in the copy of the Standard Catalogue that I have, the series 22 is called the NISFI. Weight range is almost the same as that of my coin. However while going through the book by Andrew Liddle, I find that the coin is refered to as a HALF DAM. A few other coins are refered to as NISFI. Yet few are refered to in the TANKI series.

My question is, are all these the same denomination or are there any differences in the various denominations? If there is a difference, what are the smaller and larger units known as?

PS: I am not sure if this should be a separate thread.

The usual series of Akbar copper coins are:
Tanka = 2 Dam (39.80-41.40 gm)
Dam = 1/2 Tanka (c. 20.30 gm)
1/2 Dam = Nisfi or 1/4 Tanka (c. 10.15 gm)
1/4 Dam = Damra or 1/8 Tanka (c. 5.01 gm)
1/8 Dam = Damri or 1/16 Tanka. (c. 2.53 gm)

Besides the above series of copper coins there is a series called Tanki.
1 Tanki (c. 3.83 gm), 2 Tanki (c. 7.66 gm) and 4 Tanki (14.90-15.75 gm) coins were struck at a limited number of mints, during the later years of Akbar's reign.

There are various smaller copper issues, but it is very difficult to conclude whether they belong to the fractional Tanka or Tanki series.
