Shah Jahan, Silver Rupee, Ahmednagar Mint, AH 1069 Ry33,  mint name in right margin

The  discussion at other forum states that the coins with Shahjahan's name but dated 1069 must have been struck roughly between July 1658 and January 1659. This was the period when in spite of being crowned Aurangzeb's position was far from being secured.

Not just a very nice coin, but also a historical document. Congratulations.

Peter
An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
