Unknown Indian coin #6

I don't actually have this coin in my possession, but I'm helping a friend with it. He has told me that it weighs about 3 grams, and the diameter is probably around 10-12 mm but he doesn't have a ruler. I attached a photo he provided next to a British 5 pence (18 mm diameter) for scale.

I would guess South India, I can't find one the same but there are similar types of coins from Arcot. Mysore etc.

Thanks, I do think it is South India as well because of the style of design.
