Billon 1/2 Tanka in the name of the caliph abu'abd allah

Abu Bakr was a short lived ruler of the Tughluq dynasty 1389-90 ,  non of his coins are common and many are very rare

The rulers name is fully visible on the obverse

First half tanka of this reign in the index. The collection the index represents is amazing. :o

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

This coin came very cheaply ($5) considering it's a rare ruler,  I'm currently reading a recent coin book by Admiral Sohail Khan which goes into details about the murder and mayhem of both the Mughal dynasty and the Delhi Sultanate and it's quite shocking as to how they would kill their own siblings in order to take the throne for themselves, dying of old age was a rarity for many rulers.
