Though it's the wrong script, it looks vaguely South Indian to me. You could ty sending a PM to Quant.Geek.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

The "lines" of this coin looks like this Kidarite coin, but for me we have an arabic script on both sides...
the 1st scan reads : " Ahmad Shah" and the 2nd one gives with very few doubt :"zill illah ظل اله (Shadow of God).

This coin is  a 1/4 gani of the Sultan Ahmad Shah II Bahmani ref BH91,  listed as" scarce".

There is a fun resemblence with the tin coins of Acheh. My first impulse was "so that's the coin that inspired them", but the time lag is too big. Se also this piece.

FWIW, Oesho reads the three lines on the Acheh coin as "Sultan Abd-allah".

Yes Peter, but here, the way of writing is correct, on reverse, the only thing is that the flan is a little too small to show the entire letters.
Did you notice the final "butterfly H" of "Shah" on the coin ? which reminds me an alarm-clock winder  ::) ; it is found on some indian sultanates coins of 8-9th c. AH.

NB : I have corrected my first reply to avoid any confusion : it isn't 'abd" under Shah but "Ahmad" whose beginning of the name is cut at 4 o'clock.
This coin is the G&G ref. BH91
