Interesting designs. It seems odd that some of the sketches show the words "New Pence", as Guernsey had already abandoned the word "New" in 1977.

Well, you can't always expect the staff to know the situation on the ground, until they're told. That's one reason for the Royal Mint Advisory Committee, which communicates with the relevant overseas authorities. Unlike the euro zone, the so called sterling zone doesn't always do things in sync, as you know.
