A contested 7 is not a good basis for claiming an unreported date (if 97x is unreported in the first place.) Wait for further evidence one way or the other or look for another coin that shows more of the legend.

Dear Coinsforever,
if you refer to the coin posted in dec. 29th 2012 by Overlord, dated "98x" (with persian "8") it appears quite clearly that on this new Sherkot dam "9x1 AH" , the missing word between "nuhsad" and "eik" is the same : "hasht(ad)" = 8 , which gives 981 AH for the date of your dam...

(joined : reverse of the previous dam / dec. 2012)

Yes Sir,
I correlated that post of Overlord Link with my coin  posted today and searched at zeno too for comparison.

I think this zeno coin of Oesho  is really helpful for comparing it.

Thanks again.

Yes ! on zeno the dam is dated too 981 with "eik" limit at top, on your coin it is written at left.
Such archives are invaluable.. and you have here a nice scarce coin; A. Liddle gives for Sherkot :989 & 98x, you probably have the "x" :).
