Shah Jahan, Silver Rupee, Jahangirnagar (Dhaka), Azar, AH 1040 RY 3, KM 224.10

A nicely struck and toned coin with a delightful four-leaf clover or an opium leaf on the Reverse. The date on the coin ie AH 1040, corresponds to the year when Shah Jahan's beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, died during childbirth. A heart-broken Shah Jahan soon commenced building the TAJ MAHAL as a memorial for the love of his life.
In the quest for Excellence, there's no finish line.
