The legend on the non-Lenin side reads:

Round edge: СТО ЛЕТ СО ДНЯ РОЖДЕНИЯ В.И.ЛЕНИНА (100 years from the birth of V.I. Lenin)
СС (arms) СР = Союз Советских Социалистических Республик (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics)
ОДИН РУБЛЬ (One Ruble)

IME this is the Soviet equivalent of the Churchill crown - minted in huge numbers and they turn up in all sorts of unlikely places.

Maybe you see the little beard as part of the chin, because of wear. While this is socialllist arrt, the portrait is recognisable, in spite of the martial look.
