Well, the Republic is wearing the Liberty cap. The Republic and Liberty need to have a fight to see who keeps the cap. You should make a video of that fight and post it on YouTube, stef. 

In this case the winner is clear. Military dictatorship = no liberty .

I am with Stef on this one.

The commonest coin in the world has the world LIBERTY spelled out behind Abraham Lincoln's back. Moreover, his hairdo does resemble a Phrygian cap. Yet, it is abundantly clear that the intention of the designer was to portray Abraham Lincoln, not Liberty, even though that is one of the US's central values. Like most states, the US has more core values and it's not surprising that Liberty is one of them.

In case of doubt, the bottom line becomes finding a reliable source for what the intention of the designer was. Stef did just that. Fight over by KO.
