Finland: Two €2 Commemorative Coins in 2016

Finland will issue two €2 commemorative coins this year:

- 150th Birth Anniversary of Karl Fazer;

- Eino Leino (90th death anniversary)

- Georg Henrik von Wright (100th birth anniversary).

It appears that there will not be any €2 coin commemorating Karl Fazer. Finnish mint has proposed the finance ministry minting of two commemorative two-euro coins in 2016: one in honour of Eino Leino (90th death anniversary) and the other to commemorate Georg Henrik von Wright (100th birth anniversary). Planned mintage is 1 million pieces of each. The design is also a proposal to ministry of finance.

The Eino Leino coin will be issued on April 25. Advance booking on mint's e-shop starts on April 11, 09:00 AM.
