Hello
I dont arrive to make the difference betwen 10 centimes KM 43 year 1895 and year 1895/4. Is one collector know ?
Thank you by advance
Gerard

The obverse legend is French, the reverse legend Flemish. This is a mint error, so it should not figure in KM. I am not aware of any overdate. Maybe Aernout knows more.

Peter
An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

The 1895/4 is an overdate.
(The 5 of the 1895 is struck over a 4 - they reused an old die from 1894 presumably)
always willing to trade modern UK coins for modern coins from elsewhere....

Aernout

Indeed, they re-used the die of 1894 in 1895 and adjust the date.

In the attachements are there some pictures

picture 1 is from the Numismatica Belgica
Picture 2 is from www.numis.be

Hello
Thank you for your reply, but i have finded on the net and all 10 cents 1995 that i have seen have the same 5.Have you one photo with the 5 normal ??
Best regards  Gerard

Aernout

In the attachement, I added a photo with the normal 5 and the overdate (substrike) 5.

By the overdate 5 (10 cent 1895/4 VL):
- Red: The most clearest area to see by the overdate.
- Blue: These areas can you see most of the time (with clear substrikes)

mvg,
Aernout
