Title: Mecklenburg-Strelitz 1/24 thaler 1761
Post by: carpatic on April 03, 2021, 10:10:04 AM
Hi. I have acquired the first coin pictured below and I had the surprise of not finding it in Krause. At least, I could not see it.
Searching for similar coins, I found the next ones pictured, that are listed as
Kunzel 599 B/a Hannemann 185 Slg. Gaettens 891 (my coin, with the year listed below the value) and Kunzel 599 A/b Hannemann 186 Slg. Gaettens 890, the variant with the year on the reverse.
Is this truly a miss in Krause or is it listed in another place?
Do you know if I could find the Hannemann catalogue free to download?
Thanks

These types are in the Schön catalog. Your coin is #53, the other is #54. I have been unable to find the coins in KM (or in a marketplace).
