The legend is Falus Akbar Shahi / zarb Surat (Ry.) Surat. For reference see: ZENO#30345 (http://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=30345) or ZENO#30346 (http://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=30346)

What does "Akbar Shahi" refer? Not the emperor, right? The type of coin? And why would that be on the legend?

What does "Akbar Shahi" refer?
'Falus Akbar Shahi' could be translated as 'Copper coin of Akbar'

 ???
I apologize for my confusion.
If that is the case, then this dam is of Akbar and not Aurangzeb, correct?  And the subject should be changed accordingly. Or was this coin made by Aurangzeb in tribute to his great ancestor?
But that doesn't sound like something that Aurangzeb would have done.
