Thanks Overlord.
The writing of "Bairat" looks like the caligraphy of a medical doctor: lazy with an economy of energy!

Overlord strikes again. My impression from your impressive reconstruction is that either something may still be missing or the die wasn't round? Or maybe the missing date was two digits only?

This style of writing is often called Tughra (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tughra) script. I'm not sure if the term can be applied to describe the calligraphy on this coin, but this (http://www.worldofcoins.eu/forum/index.php/topic,2494.0.html) coin of Hydreabad is an excellent example.
Peter, these coins did include the complete AH year, as seen in this (http://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=41043) example.

I am not trying to be difficult, but trying to form at least a mental picture of what the whole die looked like. Is there another word below zarb and the date?

Sanat, as seen in this (http://www.worldofcoins.eu/forum/index.php/topic,12094.0.html) example.
