Title: Akbar Sirhind, ilahi 42, Tir
Post by: abhinumis on May 01, 2015, 08:27:01 PM
Hi,
Posting a Sirhind dam of Akbar with ilahi 42 and month Tir but some speciality is sanah ilahi instead of normal ilahi.. This date and month combination is the last for this mint in my opinion..

Congratulations Dr Abhishek: it's really a beautiful coin ! and may be a new type according to its legend ? (sanah under the Ilahi date)
"mah" written after the persian month is not common too.
But please, how do you read the "2" of "42"?
and over "tir", is it an ornament ?

My surmise is based on the fact that sanah ilahi is seen in ilahi 42 only..  In ilahi 41, no sanah ilahi is seen.
This coin posted below is not listed and probably unique! Here falus is placed below the mint.. and shows clear date of ilahii 42 with khurdad month..
