I think that it's a coin from Hisar mint:
"falus Hisar..." / date in letters

I am sorry, it's always confusing between "Hisar" and "Hazrat" when no other parts of legend is present; it could be better "Hazrat (Delhi) than Hissar....

I think Hazrat also but given the layout I am struggling to really see Delhi which given where Falus is should be on top but is not really there.

Definitely Hazrat Dehli. Compare it with the dam depicted on ZENO (http://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=79817).

Dear Oesho, Thanks for confirming the Mint and the link to the Zeno coin. Is the date also the same ......AH 967?

Dear asm,
Congratulations for your work! coins are very legible now
on the 1st coin, the date in persian is : "nuhsad (wa) haftad wa haft" = 977
(the unit "haft" is limit at 12 o'clock )

for the 2nd coin we read (up down) : "fi tarrikh nuhsad haftad...?" = 97x : the unit is off flan

Amazing results . I guess most of the dealers are doing little bit of cleaning to add more commercial value to their stuffs for sale.

Could you share cleaning steps here.

Cheers ;D

Yes that is a great idea, time for us all to learn a little about the successful cleaning of these coins.

Please do not embarrass me. I have done the unthinkable.......... I dipped the lot - yes all 14 of them in a small tumbler filled with water and then put some (one table spoon) mineral acid in it. Kept on rubbing them with my bare hands till most of the green came off. I will not recommend this to any one without requisite experience. A little bit of extra acid and the coin is gone for good. After washing the coins in running water and then with water from the RO plant, I dipped them in Olive oil for 2 days and then again rubbed them with an old  slightly rough cotton cloth.

Amit.

PS: I perfected this on other bad coins before I tried it on these coins which had really become very bad.
