Superb one Bernard sir...Mine do not have the 'waw'.. Do you have another pic clearly showing 'pur' part?
Sometimes, I become suspicious whether this is Awadh?

unfortunately it's the only one I possess...
The mint name starts like "Awadh", but I am quite certain that here, it's well "Udaipur ; the mintname is cut after the "ye" which is present on left, I think.

(Not sure that Ilahi dams of Awadh exist ?)

We can safely presume it to be Udaipur unless proved otherwise. With my experience with Akbar coppers, I've learnt not to say 'Never'!! I've never seen an ilahi coin of Awadh but who knows.................
