it's a paika of 'Ala al-din Udauji Shah Sultan of Madura in 740 AH (less than one year)
ref : G&G MD8 / catalogued as "Scarce"

I've looked at this thread several times and couldn't make out the ruler, there are three specimens in the database however

On the reverse now only the Ala-al Din part is transcribed. Complete it would be "Ala al-Dunya wa al-Din".

Thanks for the detailed overlay and kind words sir. An accidental find, in fact. I picked it up from a lot without knowing it and after oil cleaning this is what i saw.  :)
