East Lindsey District Council

The East Lindsey district council area contains the large seaside settlements of Skegness and Mablethorpe and as far inland as Horncastle, the furthest points east in the county of Lincolnshire. The tokens must post date the creation of the council area in 1974. The area is notable for it's lack of large roads and the sparseness of railway links. 20p tokens were in use in other council areas around the UK until the mid 1990's, so it is likely that the tokens remained in use until then.
