THe Commercial Motor Users Association represented the interests of lorry drivers and road haulage companies. The Scottih euivalent was called the Scottish Commercial Motor Association. In its 1912 report the CMUA noted that the N. and E. Lancashire Commercial Motor Users Association and the West Riding Commercial Motor Users Association had decided to affiliate[1]. Another early association was known as the Van, Waggon & Omnibus Association[2]
