Charles D. Holmes & Co (CDH & CO) was a marine engineering company, established in Hull in 1869. Its specialty was building small ships, ship engines and ship repair, but during the first world war, it also produced ammunition. In 1959, it became a private company. The company went into receivership in 1975. It was re-started under a different name in 1976.
