CHAPELHALL CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY 1872-1968

The society was formed in 1872

The main store was known as Chapelhall Central with the branches being numbered[1]. The branches were;

  • Branch No. 1 - Airdrie
  • Branch No. 2 - Holytown
  • Branch No. 3 - Mossend Road
  • Branch No. 4 - Airdrie Terminus

When the society took over the Plains store in 1931 this became Branch No. 5 [2]

The society joined the SCRS in 1968.
