In 1907, a factory making superphosphate, a plant fertiliser, was opened on Fosfaatweg 48 in Amsterdam. Its name was Amsterdamsche Superfosfaatfabriek (ASF). Since 1917, the company operated a factory near Rotterdam, in Kralingsche Veer, the former Centrale Guanofabrieken (CGF). Photo: ASF factory in Kralingsche Veer. The ASF name was changed to Albatros Superfosfaatfabrieken (also ASF) in 1948. This name was changed to Albatros Zwavelzuur en Chemische Fabrieken in 1959. The facility in Kralingsche Veer (by that time in Capelle aan den IJssel) was closed in 1971.

In 1959, ASF established a factory to produce sulphuric acid, Albatros Zwavelzuur en Chemische Fabrieken, later Albatros Superfosfaat fabrieken. This plant ended up in a merger with MEKOG and was re-named Verenigde Kunstmestfabrieken MEKOG-Albatros (VKF) in 1961. The factory was closed in 2000.

The pieces with ASF P (Pernis) are canteen tokens, not coffee machine tokens.
