My guess is a kasu of Travancore. Can someone please confirm or deny, give a reference and tell me more about the text? Since the scanner is once again not too clear, I tried drawing what I see when holding it in the light at various angles. The other side is obviously a six-pointed star in a double circle.

This miniature is 9 mm, 0.9 grams. Hardly visible to the unclothed eye.

I'm glad you said "obvious", because now I can maintain that I saw the star right from the get go. 
I'll look into this with enthusiasm later in the week too.
