Yes I agree there should be others out there but of course they are difficult to recognise for what they really are.

Such as those replica Austrian coin types separated from the sheet they were attached to.  ???  See Reply #197

Talking of luck I have three different four leaf clover pieces two of the normal size 18.1mm we listed before and another larger at 21mm.  :o

Another type arrived in a job lot today, this time its scalloped, consimilar brass 28mm.

Another four leaf clover piece arrived in a job lot yesterday, a little smaller at 22.3mm consimilar, and as its made of gold coloured anodised aluminium its a mere 1.3g

Good to have a few Italian ones added to this thread.

Looking through the thread again today I see a letter from Readers Digest signed "A Haddock"  ...this sounds fishy! ??? see reply # 162

I'm sorry Mal but I do not understand the link between the RD italian tokens that I posted and the reply #162....  ???

malj1

Sorry there is no link between your Italian ones and the other one mentioned.

It was just a by the way observation that the letter in that link is suspicious as its signed a haddock - which is a fish. Something suspicious we say is fishy!  ;D a red herring!

Google tells me you say ˈhadək?  ???

I believe that the letter is signed by "Maddock" and not "Haddock"; try to compare the letter H of WITHIN and the letter M of COMMITTEE ... it seems to me much more like an M

malj1

Yes you are right! Maddock it is.  :o
