A. Cattermole rev. Pass brass 25.5mm

This appears in the first edition of Smith; England Unidentified section page 255 as 992J

I found an auction listing describing it as Herdman 245

Do we know why Smith attributed it to England specifically, and not somewhere else in the UK or the English-speaking world?

Cattermole is quite an unusual surname, wonder how many there are.
Could be a theatre ticket rather than a transport pass as I've not found anything transport related.
always willing to trade modern UK coins for modern coins from elsewhere....

4421 Cattermole births registered in England and Wales between 1916 and 2005.

Compare 283 Dawbarns (a common surname in my extended family but virtually all the ones I've found, I'm related to) and 1,805,151 Smiths.
