Polymer Notes for India?
« on: March 01, 2011, 11:41:30 AM »
but they have already spent new millions printing plastic notes.  i think 1000 rs sterling silver coins 19mm in size weighing 4 grams ought to do it.

It's another rumor..no plastic notes for India have been printed so far..And there are no plans to issue polymer banknotes in India any time soon..There have been several reports in news papers regarding this issue before but it's now almost confirmed that India will not issue them.

Such projects (polymer notes, high denominations coins etc) are still under discussion stage , don't believe these stories published in news papers.

Only worry is that the polymer notes should be genuine printed at Nashik security press.
