I believe there is also this Bahamas 1978 $100 Gold coin commemorating the 5th anniversary of Independence, with the Prince Charles portrait by Michael Hibbit.

Does anyone know how many of the 1989 Kiribati $2 coin commemorating the 10th Anniversary of Independence were minted?

I've checked two world catalogues - one American (Krause/Mishler), one German - but unfortunately neither of them give the mintage.

Malawi, 5 kwacha, 2006.   Fishermen.

Malawi, 10 kwacha, 2006.  Tea plantation worker.

Mr Hibbit also designed the reverses of these two circulation coins from Malawi, shown above.

My thanks to Maolalaidh for providing this information.

Malawi, 5 kwacha, 2006.

Above is one of a series of Malawian silver 5 kwacha coins produced for collectors by the Royal Mint.

The whole series was designed by Michael Hibbit and entitled "Journey Through Africa".

Notice how similar the design above looks to that of the 5 kwacha coin of 2006.
