Not confirmed but my dealer told me last night that the Civila Aviation coin was available at the RBI and has thus come into the market. Dealer prices dropped to Rs 8. I have asked him to get me a few @Rs8.

Going to RBI is not a problem only thing is that i have to take leave or half day from my office. And you know that it might cost me more than that.

Why is it in two colors? golden and silver? Does that anything to do with SS and Brass-Ni or just a variety or does that point to mint?

I was referring to this Civil aviation and ICMR  5 rupee coins... so no SS for these right? only Brass-Ni? I thought SS were meant to be in proof sets...I have seen both colors (golden and silver ) variants of ICMR and civil aviation in ebay...
