A teller at one of my bank's branches called me yesterday afternoon and said she had completed a $50 bag of cents that had been bagged from merchants deposits.  But the best part at that point was she said she had an envelope of coins that had been rejected by their counting machine and she would give them to me because otherwise they would throw them out.  I bought the $50 bag of cents, which turned out to be one of the best cent searches in quite some time - the most wheats ever in a search and necessitates a thread by itself.  But here are all the foreign coins, definitely not a disappointment:

That is so cool....Condrad's on your new world coin collection. I wish my bank would call me to tell me that they had a world coin collection that they just wanted to give away....Well one bank did call me once and they said a person had come in with about 18 silver dollars :o :o :o :o :o ...So I told her I will be down in the morning to pick them up. All that night I keep thinking why would anyone give the bank silver dollars ??? ??? ??? but then a Exxon gas station attendant near me did get two silver Morgan dollars as payment for the gas...Well when I went to the bank they turned out to be just regular Ike dollars :( :( :(...but I did get a chuckle out of it.  Nothing ventured nothing gained.

Where did the Somalian coin come from I wonder?
They don't circulate in Somalia - never mind America!
always willing to trade modern UK coins for modern coins from elsewhere....

My thoughts are that it is some NCLT piece that somehow slipped out of a collection or something and got spent as a quarter.  It is a thick aluminium coin that shouldn't pass for a quarter.
