China Republic strange coin

What is this?

My feeling says "fake", but I cannot add reasons to it ...

The broad rim is odd and the date (Yr 21 = 1932) seems late to me.  Province is Shantung. Krause lists a pattern 20 cash on a wide flan for that year, so that may be your piece.

Many thanks! :D I lost the description by the years and did forget, where I found that piece once before. That pattern should it be!
But I am still not sure, if it is genuine. Usually I don't possess such scarce pieces.  :-[
Some parts of the coin look casted, some not. I am very confused ... :-\

There is a genuine pattern coin like this, but not with the wide rims. It is possible this is a trial strike on an oversize planchet or made without a collar, but most likely it is just a forgery.
