Yes. That is my question. Or just a chance pattern similarity?

Not VOC. You may have been thinking of the later "bonks", but the stamps on these coins are denomination obv, date in pearl rectangle rev. There is no bale mark.

I think the item is a katar and the coin should be turned 90? or 180?. It may be too far gone to identify, though.

@ Richie,
In my time I've seen many VOC copper ingots. None of them looked like the above by far.
In my opinion here even isn't any "chance pattern similarity". The only similarity is in the shape.

Thank you Figleaf and a3v1 for helping me to stay grounded in reality.  :'(

There's not enough for a definitive identification, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be a half paisa from Bundi. These tend to be about 5 grams. What's the weight of your coin?

Good morning Peter.  Yes, the coin weighs 5.3 grams! I'll take a look in the catalog.

After several looks at pictures in catalogs and a comparison with another 1/2 paisa from Bundi, I've decided that, yes it is most likely a Km 15.1.  Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
