Russia 1 Rouble 1877

  Hello there !

  I need your opinion regarding this 1 Rouble 1877, what was happend with this coin ? Was a devaluate procedure by deterioration or   just  a " art work "of someone ? Look's like a jeweller punch mark.

It looks to me like an "8" punch used six times. Comparing the 8 with the 8 in the date, I think they are not the same (in particular, the inner holes are of a different shape). Therefore, it is likely that the punching happened outside the mint.

Yes of course.
The most preferred variant of the answer:
1. There was a hole in the coin.
2. Jeweler neatly soldered hole.
3. To hide the soldering someone has put a stigma.
