The Mexican commemorative banknote I like; nice design and colors. What is also interesting is how the woman (Adelita?) does not only look out of the car but also out of the watermark "hole". :)  The one from Costa Rica, well. Yes, that port scene is a reproduction of a painting in the magnificent National Theater (see the attached screenshot), but to me the note looks old fashioned in an almost colonial way ...

Thanks!  This one worked hard and that is nothing to be ashamed of. I have prettier notes that never worked a day in their lives.  Only recently have I gained an appreciation for Canadian Numismatics. Being a neighbor, I ignored her in the past which I should not have.

In old notes, I dont know why but I like these Korea and Japan 1 Yen notes (not my images). They are simply beautiful. What do you think?  :D

For me, they have an exotic look that I find quite appealing. I like the reds found on them. The contrast draws the eye.

Now days trying to complete my Brazil and Poland banknote collection. I find these banknotes really amazing as they are vibrand and colorful. I hope the Indian government also experiments a little with colors soon.   :)

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

The vignettes on the note are very evocative:

I love the British lion.

And beavers have not made many appearances on banknotes - there was a Continental Currency $6 in 1776 that had one, and of course the Dominion Bank issues.
